Русская Церковь в Mahopac, NY - the parish of the Russian Orthodox Church of the Nativity of the Holy Mother of God

 The parish is under the jurisdiction of the Synod of Bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, a part of the greater Russian Orthodox Church. It is located on the 17-acre grounds of the Hermitage of Our Lady of Kursk, a property which belongs to the Synod, and is consecrated to the miraculous “Kursk-Root” Icon of the Mother of God, under the authority of Metropolitan Hilarion, the First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad. The parish itself is part of the Diocese of Eastern America and New York, under Bishop Jerome of Manhattan. Besides the parish church, the Hermitage contains a cemetery, an outdoor chapel, several acres of forest, a small pond, and various unrelated Synodal functions.
